John Mann gives Cannock Motorsports first win of 08!
John Mann, aka Johnny Raincloud, has whipped that monkey off of his back! After a very trying beginning of the season John broke out in a huge way on May 23, 2008. Under the expert tutelage of Jason "Yoda" Kosch, John tried some drastic changes to the set up of the 121. His first heat was a precursor of things to come. He started third in his heat and clawed into second just before the checkers flew.
He started on the pole in the feature and led every lap to score his first victory. He held off Brian Fink in the 45 and a relentless Shawn Kowalski in the 420. Shawn raced a great race and everyone at Cannock Motorsports are grateful on how clean he raced John. Thanks Shawn!

Cannock Motorsports Gets Win #2 of 2008!
Ever since John won a few weeks ago the mantra in the pits of the 47, 21 and 121 has been, "Now it's the 21's turn." The 47 has been in the winners circle 3 times and the 121 once and now the 21 has visited as well!
I did well enough in the heats to start on the outside pole. I gave the 32k as much as I could but in the end I followed him across the finish line. Second. Not bad. A good points night plus my parents were at the track watching so it was a good night. But as we all know strange things happen in tech inspection... The winners header came off during the race and he was DQ'd. Not the way I wanted to win but I'll take it. We all feel bad for Steve V in the 32k. It would have been his first win and he is a real good guy. Hopefully he'll get back to the winners circle before the end of the season.
