On Saturday April 25, we had a special visitor come to OVRP! Matthew Maidat, son of my high school friend, Maryann Leone and Scott Maidat dropped by to see some racing. He was ready to race rockin his NASCAR sneakers and a new Dale Jr. shirt his grandma had bought him. He was all ready to go! As they pulled into the track Matthew asked Maryann, "Mom am I driving?" Well Matthew, the way I drove maybe I should have let you! Matthew was the first to find my car in the pits and he climbed right in! Matthew watched all the different divisions and was really into the karts and all their crazy action. Scott liked the Kid Karts so maybe Matthew will be back in the future as a driver! It was great to see you guys. Hopefully we can do it again before the end of the season.
